Momordica subangulata is a species of flowering plant in the Cucurbitaceae family, commonly found in Southeast Asia, particularly in countries like Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia. It is a climbing or trailing vine with lobed leaves and small, yellow flowers. The plant produces distinctive, oblong or cylindrical fruits that are often ribbed and covered in soft spines. Like other species in the Momordica genus, it is known for its bitter taste and potential medicinal properties, often used in traditional remedies. It is less studied compared to its relative, Momordica charantia (bitter melon), but shares some similar characteristics.
