Description

Murraya paniculata (commonly called Orange Jessamine, Mock Orange, or Kamini) is an evergreen shrub or small tree from the Rutaceae family, native to South and Southeast Asia. It is valued as an ornamental plant for its glossy green leaves, fragrant white flowers, and ability to be shaped as a hedge or bonsai.

The plant usually grows between 2 to 7 meters tall, forming a rounded, compact crown. Its leaves are compound, dark green, and shiny, providing a lush background for the flowers. The blooms are small (about 2 cm across), creamy-white, and borne in clusters, releasing a strong, sweet fragrance, especially at night. Flowering can occur several times throughout the year in favorable climates.
