Growing Tips
Sow fresh seeds as soon as possible, treating them with fungicide to prevent damping off. Cover seeds lightly with 1-2mm of coarse river sand. Keep substrate moist but not waterlogged. Cover containers with glass for the first 1-2 weeks to maintain humidity, then replace with light shade-cloth and mist once or twice daily for the next two weeks. After germination, reduce misting frequency gradually. Provide bright indirect light, never direct sunlight for seedlings. When seedlings reach 20-30mm height, transplant into sandy loam medium and feed with organic fertilizer quarterly. Excellent drainage is critical. Sow seeds in late summer to early autumn for optimal results.
