🔨
Hot water scarification
Immerse seeds in boiling water, allow to cool and soak for 24 hours. Seeds have physical dormancy with water-impermeable seed coats.

Additional notes
Hot water scarification is the most effective pre-treatment method for breaking physical dormancy in this species.
Substrate & Container
Recommended substrate
well-drained sandy compost or seed-starting mix
Recommended container
seed trays or nursery beds in bright light
Growing Tips
Treat seeds with hot water immersion followed by 24-hour soaking for best results. Seeds may germinate slowly even with treatment, requiring patience. Maintain warm temperatures (20-25°C) and bright light during germination. Cover seeds lightly with sand or grit. Sow in nursery seedbeds or seed trays and keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Seeds can be stored for up to 2 years under cool, dry conditions.
