Cymbopogon citratus – Lemon Grass

Description

An attractive, large, broad-leafed, tussock-forming grass originally native to southern India and Sri Lanka that makes an attractive ornamental and is widely used as a source of citronella oil for use in cosmetics, cleaning products, candles and similar commodities. It is also used in traditional medicine and is one of the essential herbs in Thai cuisine. Very easy to grow in warm temperate and tropical climates.
