Haldina cordifolia (commonly known as Kadamba or Haldina) is a medium to large deciduous tree belonging to the Rubiaceae family. It is native to South and Southeast Asia, often found in mixed deciduous forests and hilly regions. The tree can reach 15 to 20 meters in height and is recognized for its spreading crown, rough grey bark, and clusters of small yellowish flowers that appear in spherical heads.

The seeds of Haldina cordifolia are small, light brown, and winged, allowing them to disperse easily by wind. They are contained in woody, rounded capsules that split open when mature.
