Description
Dichroa febrifuga is an evergreen shrub from the Hydrangeaceae family, native to the Himalayas, China, and Southeast Asia. It typically grows between 1 and 2 meters tall, forming a dense, bushy habit with glossy, dark green, serrated leaves.
The plant produces clusters of small, star-shaped flowers that range from pale blue to violet, resembling those of hydrangeas. These are followed by striking metallic-blue to purplish berries that persist into winter, adding ornamental appeal.
Dichroa febrifuga prefers partial shade and moist, well-drained soil rich in organic matter. It thrives in tropical to subtropical climates and makes a beautiful addition to shaded gardens or woodland borders, valued for its long-lasting color and lush, evergreen foliage.
