Description

There are over 3,000 species of bromeliads, puya yakespala is the enlightened princess, the yellow desert bromeliad.

An absolutely spectacular bromeliad coming from dry, rocky pastures in the province of salta, argentina.

This species forms a compact rosette of narrow leaves that are greyish-green at the top and silvery-white below.

The large club-shaped inflorescence has a cone of large, beautiful yellow flowers.

Drought and cold resistant, this species would probably be highly successful in dry temperate climates.

Note:
Bromeliads are colorful, easy to grow, beautiful plants that are hardy indoors and require very little water or attention. Bromeliads are excellent houseplants that withstand more neglect than almost any other plant. In the landscape, bromeliad grows happily in a pot or when planted directly in the soil. They add a colorful touch to any outdoor space, garden or porch. In colder areas, a containerized bromeliad can be relocated to the winter months.

An extremely ornamental bromeliad and a prize in acquisition
