Description
The seeds of the Beaumontia grandiflora, also known as the Easter Lily Vine or Herald’s Trumpet, are found within thick, woody pods. The seeds themselves are often described as being covered in a lustrous, pure white, silky hair, which is said to be the most brilliant of all “vegetable silks.” Due to the hard outer coat, the seeds require scarification and soaking to aid in germination, which can take a few weeks to a few months even under ideal conditions.
